about
I am a nature lover and have a passion for photography and film. I always have a camera on me, looking for something to catch my eye,
for still or moving images.
20 Years of Experience
I have been working as a photographer and visual artist for over 20 years. I enjoy shooting on film and digital. I have an affection for 35mm, 120 medium format film and combining vintage lenses with digital.
I also hold A1, A2 & A3 drone licenses.
I find joy in nature and exploring the connections between humanity and the natural world.
Over the years I have written and directed a number of short films.
I first fell in love with photography as a teenager when I inherited an old camera.
Education
I went on to study fine art photography in 2004 at Marino College and worked under professional photographers as an assistant.
From 2006 to 2009 I completed a BA Hons Degree in Film and Video Production with two years at Coláiste Dhúlaigh CDFE in Dublin and a final year at the University of Wolverhampton in the UK. My 2008 graduate film was selected by RTE for their Short Screen Series.
I received recognition and awards for my writing and short films as a student. This gave me a drive to explore independent projects.
In 2016 I graduated from DIT (Now TUD) with a BSc in Digital Technology and Design.
Life
I've spent the years since refining my skill and artwork.
I currently work in content creation and digital marketing with photography and video, while I pursue personal passion projects.
Raised in North County Dublin I now live in the beautiful Leitrim with my wife and children.
